KEDARNATH
Kedarnath is a prominent Hindu pilgrimage site located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Situated at an altitude of about 3,583 meters (11,755 feet) in the Garhwal Himalayas, it is part of the Char Dham Yatra, a revered circuit for devotees. The temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, which are sacred abodes of Shiva.
Kedarnath's remote location and stunning natural beauty, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, add to its spiritual significance. The temple has a rich history, with its origins traditionally attributed to the Pandavas of the Mahabharata. The area can be challenging to reach due to its high altitude and rugged terrain, but it remains a focal point for thousands of pilgrims seeking divine blessings and spiritual solace.
